And the door was locked. The game had begun. "It'll be over in no time, just you watch." Comforting words from the mother figure, what a surprise. With everyone here filling the roles of a stereotypical reality show cast, I could already tell who they expected me to hate, who they'd want me to form alliances with, and who I'm supposed to hook up with. The audience loves a good showmance. If we let them see some skin, even better. That kind of stuff sells subscriptions to their 24-hour live feed.
The entry room wasn't very big, but dark enough that you couldn't help but wonder what was lurking in the shadows. The door up ahead had light seeping in from the sides. Something was behind it, but after ten seasons everyone knew the door was not an option. Then again, it could be useful if I were ready to get rid of one of my fellow contestants. Just shove 'em through and see what happens.
"So where do you think the weapons are?"
Is this guy serious? Everyone knows you can't find a weapon until at least the second or third day. If you even survive that long. Finding weapons this early would end the game before the first night is even over. So I knew what had to be done. "You see that door over there? The one with the light? I bet the weapons are in there. Why don't you go check it out?"
